When her mother passes away, the American singer Liz decides to pay a visit to her half-brother Gabe in the Netherlands. As an aspiring writer, Gabe fears being overshadowed by his successful sister, who whose eccentric personality always keeps her in the spotlight. To make matters worse, Liz becomes infatuated with Gabe’s girlfriend Joey, who inspires her to write new music. As family ties begin to unravel, a complex relationship develops between the two women, challenging everyone’s sense of independence.

Torch Song premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival, where it was awarded the Dutch Film Critics’ Prize.
