Ominous psychological drama from Robert Machoian (The Killing Of Two Lovers) about an insurance agent who heads into the woods for a hunting experiment.
Insurance agent Joe wonders if he could provide for his family if disaster were to strike. To prove to himself that he has what it takes, Joe borrows a friend’s hunting equipment and heads into the woods to shoot a deer. When he finally spots a deer, he fails to pull the trigger. Joe is subsequently consumed by feelings of helplessness and shame.
As in his debut feature THE KILLING OF TWO LOVERS, writer/director Robert Machoian delves into the world of wounded masculinity. In his films, men wander lost, searching for their place in modern society. THE INTEGRITY OF JOSEPH CHAMBERS has an unsettling atmosphere with a menacing undertone. This effect is enhanced by composer William Ryan Fritsch’s unnerving score.
