Romantic drama by Paolo Genovese (Perfetti Sconosciuti) about the love story of opposites Anna, an impulsive cartoonist, and Marco, a professor of physics.
At the start of their relationship, Anna and Marco are madly in love, but as time passes, it becomes harder to keep their relationship alive. There are still moments of tenderness and affection, but there are also arguments and deceit. And the contradictions that were always there: Anna is impulsive, rebellious, and restless; Marco is shy, somewhat clumsy and a man who always counts on science and rationality for explanations and answers.
Ten years together is difficult, twenty years together is rare, but a lifetime together: that requires superpowers. This is what writer/director Paolo Genovese wrote in his novel SUPEREROI, which he has now adapted for film himself. For the leading parts, he cast Italian stars Alessandro Borghi – also one of the leads in the upcoming film adaptation of Paolo Cognetti’s bestseller THE EIGHT MOUNTAINS – and Jasmine Trinca, known from LA MEGLIO GIOVENTÙ, MIELE and LA DEA FORTUNA.
