Fifty years fans had to wait for it, but this year finally saw the official release of the album ONE HAND CLAPPING by Paul McCartney and Wings. Bootlegs had been circulating for years. Following the worldwide success of BAND ON THE RUN, the band – including new acquisitions Jimmy McCulloch (guitar) and Geoff Britton (drums) – retreated to Abbey Road Studios in August 1974 to record a live album. However, the recordings were not released. Following this year’s album’s release, the accompanying documentary is now also being released, in a 4k restored version. Songs featured include MAYBE I'M AMAZED, JET and LIVE AND LET DIE. Exclusively for the cinema release, Paul McCartney recorded a new introduction. The documentary also features previously unreleased recordings from the Backyard sessions, in which McCartney plays his favourites from his catalogue on acoustic guitar, including the unreleased song BLACKPOOL. He also covers some of his favourite songs, including TWENTY FLIGHT ROCK, the song he played for John Lennon when they first met.
