Intimate documentary about Freek de Jonge, the Dutch comedian who turns 75 this year, but for whom leaving the stage is not an option.

FREEK investigates the extent to which the comedian uses the stage to escape reality. Director Dennis Alink followed De Jonge at home, in meetings with colleagues and friends such as André van Duin, Herman Finkers, Jacques Klöters and of course with his wife Hella. He was present at Carré, where De Jonge performed favourite Neerlands Hoop songs with a group of Dutch and Flemish singers.
