Bambi
French live-action film based on one of the most popular Disney films ever, about the little deer Bambi who, after his mother is shot dead by hunters, must learn to cope with the great dangers of life in the wilderness.
From birth, young little deer Bambi has been incredibly close to his mother. As he marvels at the world around him, his mother teaches him the most important things for survival in the forest. As time passes, Bambi befriends more and more animals in the forest and also meets Feline, his future girlfriend. But with the arrival of autumn, everything changes. Bambi becomes an orphan when hunters shoot his mother. At that moment, however, Bambi discovers he is not alone, as his father – the Great Prince – watches over him. From his father, he learns to deal with the great dangers of life in the wilderness and more importantly, Bambi grows up.
BAMBI – EEN LEVEN IN HET BOS offers a new take on Félix Salten’s classic story. Director Michel Fessler (screenwriter of MARCH OF THE PENGUINS) has brought the story to life by following the lives of real deer.
