'Idiot Prayer - Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace' was recorded in June 2020, as the UK slowly emerged from lockdown, in response to the restrictions and isolation from the months before. A lasting reminder of these strange and uncertain times. The event, which was initially supposed to be online only, is now available as an expanded cinema version, including four previously unreleased recordings.

The set list ranges from early Bad Seeds and Grinderman songs to work from the most recent Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds album Ghosteen. Unique acoustic performances of songs like Into My Arms, The Mercy Seat, Higgs Boson Blues and Girl in Amber, in the silent grandeur of the Alexandra Palace.

The performance was filmed by award-winning director Robbie Ryan (The Favorite, Marriage Story, American Honey) in the beautiful West Hall of Alexandra Palace, London. Editing was done by Nick Emerson (Lady Macbeth, Emma, Greta). The music was recorded by Dom Monks.

Ticket sales start on Thursday 10 September.
